Auction: Play guitar with Rik Emmett!

Rik EmmettHave you ever dreamed of being a rock star?  Of playing an incredible rif on the stage of the Living Arts Centre along with Rik Emmett – music hall of famer from Triumph?  Have you ever imagined yourself as a member of Rik’s current band, backed by the Mississauga Symphony?  You Haven’t?

The Mississauga Food Bank is auctioning this amazing dream opportunity the week of June 27 to 30 on the Mike Bullard Show “Beyond the Mic” on Radio 1010 from noon to 1pm each day.

So collect contributions from family and friends, listen to Mike’s show, and send your bid to auction@themississaugafoodbank.org.

Updates on where the bidding is at will be provided daily on Mike’s show and the winner will be announced June 30th.

All proceeds from the winning bid will go to The Mississauga Food Bank.

25th Anniversary Fundraising Concert – July 6

Tickets now on sale from the Living Arts Centre Box Office!

To assist The Mississauga Food Bank in celebrating its 25th Anniversary, the Mississauga Symphony and a selection of star performers have come together to present a first-ever Mississauga Concert made up entirely of home-grown and local talent (see Concert Poster). The concert will take place at the Living Arts Centre on Wednesday July 6, 2011 at 8pm.

Performers include: Rik Emmett, Michael Ciufo, Carol McCartney, Maestro John Barnum, Chuck Jackson, Suzie McNeil, Marshall Dane, and Mike Bullard all performing alongside the Mississauga Symphony!

Tickets range in price from $50-$150, with $150 tickets including a pre-concert reception and refreshments at intermission. All concert-goers will enjoy a unique concert featuring home-grown talent and know that a portion of their ticket price will help feed our hungry neighbours. Every seat at the Living Arts Centre is a great seat – we hope you’ll join us! All seats $75 and above will receive a tax receipt for a portion of their ticket price.
