Twas The Bite Before Christmas will kick off the holiday season this Sunday, December 5 at Roc`n Doc`s Bar & Grill (105 Lakeshore Road East) with an official launch party beginning at 4:30 p.m., featuring music by Chuck Jackson and the All-Stars, special guests and more surprises!

Admission is $5 (and a non-perishable food donation), with all proceeds going to The Mississauga Food Bank.

In 2009, Loblaw launched one of the largest ever national retail food drives in Canada.

This semi-annual Extra Helping Food Drive raises food and funds for the national, provincial, and local food bank programs.

To date, the program has raised over $2.8 million dollars and over 3.2 million pounds of food for food banks across the country.

New for this Holiday Food Drive is a $5 Donation Box featuring the PC Blue Menu Mac & Cheese
• Customers purchase the $5 box and donate it to the bin.
• The Box allows for convenient customer purchase of 1 Box representing 4 products and also combines a $1 cash donation.

A chance to experience The Mississauga Food Bank like never before – from inside the warehouse where tons of food is sorted, inventoried and distributed each month, and experience an unforgettable meal together “food bank-style”.

This annual fundraiser is The Mississauga Food Bank’s signature event, and our goal for this year is to make $100,000. Achieving our goal will allow us to pay for rent and maintenance costs of our warehouse, hydro to keep the lights on and the fridge and freezer cold, repairs on our equipment, and all the shipping boxes for an entire year. So this is an important event to us!

Some of the highlights you can expect at A Night at the Warehouse:

• Hors d’Oeuvres buffet
• Open Bar all night long
• Our amazing Auction with items ranging from jewellery to home decor to gift certificates to sports memorabilia
• Dinner will be served “food bank-style” – and that’s all we’ll tell you!
• Amazing Dessert buffet
• Live Music by the Virgil Scott Band
• Great raffle prizes
• And lots of surprises!
