Food for Thought – Monthly Open House

Each month, The Mississauga Food Bank holds a Food for Thought event. This is a 1 hour information session designed to introduce people from the community to The Mississauga Food Bank. These events are held on a Wednesday evening. Starting promptly at 6:00pm and ending at 7:00pm following a tour of the facility.

This is an excellent means to gain insight into the impact The Mississauga Food Bank has in your community and is definitely an hour well spent!

President & Executive Director’s Reception

An evening for members of the 2011 Cuisine Council, Gastronomic Guild, Culinary League, Connoisseur Circle, and Gourmet Society to get a private tour of the food bank and spend some time with the President of the Board of Directors, Nancy Creede, and The Mississauga Food Bank Executive Director, Chris Hatch. An opportunity to ask questions and discuss the future plans of the food bank will be provided. The list of members of these donor groups will be updated for 2011 in the first week of January 2012.

This event is by invitation only, and invitations will be mailed in early 2012.

This Sunday: Christmas Melodies Charity Concert

The first ever Christmas Melodies Charity Concert will be held at the conveniently located Noel Ryan Auditorium (in the same building as the Mississauga Central Library). Come out and enjoy an afternoon of performances while at the same time making a contribution towards The Mississauga Food Bank. The program includes high level pianists, talented singing, a dazzling dance performance from students of the Red Shoe Dance Studio, Glenforest Secondary School’s band, Forest Fire, as well as Shawn Glover, an mesmerizing magician/mentalist.

Tickets are $14 per person OR $8 + 3 non-perishable food items
Sunday December 18th, 2011 from 2:30-4:45pm
