Seva Food Bank – Grand Opening

On behalf of Sikhs Serving Canada I would like to invite you to the grand opening of The Seva Food Bank on September 9th. The event will include Sikh prayers and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Seva Food Bank will provide safe, nutritious and culturally-appropriate food to over 400 low-income families in Mississauga through a partnership with The Mississauga Food Bank.

The Seva Food Bank is an initiative of Sikhs Serving Canada, a registered not-for-profit organization whose mission is to positively impact local communities by acting on the basic Sikh tenets of sarbat da bhalla (the well being of all) and seva (selfless service).

2011 Gala – 25th Anniversary

Mark your calendars for The Mississauga Food Bank Annual Gala celebrating our 25th Anniversary on Thursday, April 14th, 2011.

The location this year will be in the Orion ballroom at the International Centre Conference Centre on Airport Road.

Food For Thought

Each month, The Mississauga Food Bank holds a ‘Food for Thought’ event. This is a 1 hour information session designed to introduce people from the community to The Mississauga Food Bank. These events are held on a Wednesday evening. Starting promptly at 6:00pm and ending at 7:00pm following a tour of the facility.
This is an excellent means to gain insight into the impact The Mississauga Food Bank has in your community and is definitely an hour well spent!
