CORUS FEEDS KIDS BACKGROUND INFO
Since the Company’s launch in 1999, Corus Entertainment has had a long and successful track record of corporate social responsibility that encompasses community, employees, industry engagement and environmental initiatives. To date, through our philanthropic efforts, Corus has contributed over $148 million through fundraising drives, air-time support and cash contributions to the communities we serve.
In 2011, Corus carried out a comprehensive review of the Company’s existing philanthropic efforts to align its corporate giving strategy more closely with its brands and audiences, which include kids and families. With the launch of Corus Feeds Kids, Corus has refined its strategy to focus on nourishing children’s bodies and minds. The focus of our spring campaign is to help alleviate hunger among Canadian children, and provide them with the nourishment they need for healthy development and long term success.
Corus Feeds Kids’ goal is to raise $3 million and contribute 3,000 employee hours in three years.
