2009 Gala Dinner & AuctionOur third annual Gala was another sold-out success where our new name and brand were publically unveiled. Star performer Karen Grainger stole the show and kept guests laughing and entertained while they enjoyed a delicious five-course meal and fine wines. 
Volunteer Appreciation Night 2009Once a year, we gather with our volunteers for a chance to say thank you for all they do to make The Mississauga Food Bank a great place! This year our theme was Hollywood, and we took everyone's photos on the red carpet! 
2009 Annual General MeetingOnce a year, all the members of The Mississauga Food Bank join together to vote on important issues. The meeting took place on November 17th at the Unitarian Congregation in Mississauga. 
Hunger Awareness DayCBC News reporter Colleen Jones spends Hunger Awareness Day with The Mississauga Food Bank riding in our truck, visiting a firehall, picking up food at a grocery store, and interviewing a new client, volunteers, and the Executive Director. 
Canada DayThe Mississauga Food Bank staff and volunteers entertain children (and some grown-ups) with balloons, tattoos, and face painting at Mississauga’s Canada Day festivities held at City Centre. 
UPS VolunteersDon Hogan and his UPS volunteer team lend a much needed hand again by painting our client waiting area with The Mississauga Food Bank’s new colours while others help sort food and stock shelves in our warehouse. Great job!! Thanks!! |
