Hunger is on the rise and The Mississauga Food Bank is working hard to keep up! Our goal for this year’s Thanksgiving Food & Fundraising Drive is to raise 145,000 lbs. of food and $60,000 to help those fighting hunger in Mississauga.
Join us Thanksgiving weekend at Loblaws and Metro grocery stores across Mississauga, where we will be handing our paper collection bags and accepting donations. Also, on Saturday October 06, Vinyl 95.3 will be broadcasting live from the Loblaws grocery store located in Heartland Town Center.
Food donations can be made at any Mississauga fire hall or grocery store from September 26 – October 24. Cash or food donations can also be made at any time to The Mississauga Food Bank.

Hi,
My name is Titania, and I work for Matrix Logistics – I tried calling you on Friday, but your office closed at noon. We are collecting items for a food drive, and decided that it will go to a local food drive.
We were wondering if you can make arrangements to have the items be picked up on Wednesday October 3rd.
I would prefer that you contact me through email (tido@shoppersdrugmart.ca) or you can call me at 905.795.2200 ext 3224
I hope to hear from you soon!
thanks
Titania

Hi,
My name is Rahim Ladhani, I am a student at Seneca College currently enrolled in the Broadcast Journalism program. For one of our projects we are to cover an event happening in the GTA and produce a news report. I am really hoping to cover the Thanksgiving Food & Fundraising drive this Saturday at Heartland Town Center.
What I am looking for is permission to bring my camera to the event and capture some footage. The news report is not for publication or anything of that sort, it is simply for a school project that will be viewed by my professor.
If you could please help me with this or point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.
Thank you in advance for your help!

We would be glad to have you. Our Director of Marketing & Fund Development, Meghan Nicholls, will be at that location and happy to help you. Would it be possible for you to send any photos you take to carla@themississaugafoodbank.org for use in our social media?
Kind Regards,
The Mississauga Food Bank
