Meet Betty, Food Sorting Volunteer

Today we are shining the spotlight on Betty Richardson, one of our amazing Food Sorting Volunteers! 👏

Betty has been volunteering at The Mississauga Food Bank for the last 5 years supporting our Warehouse team. With the changes Mississauga has faced due to the pandemic, she believes that her work at The Mississauga Food Bank leaves an even bigger impact now. “With the limited volunteer positions during the height of the pandemic, I got the opportunity to come more often and help the food bank with the food sorting process.”

As an energetic person, Betty enjoys volunteering as it allows her to make a difference while being active! “Volunteering here has made a difference in my personal life as well. I have met some awesome people and the pandemic allowed me to have a daily purpose when Mississauga went in lockdown for so long.”

Thank you Betty for all your hard work and commitment here at The Mississauga Food Bank! 💚
