Client Spotlight, Mona

Meet Mona,

Today, we’re sharing Mona’s story.

Mona has been visiting one of our neighbourhood food banks for about a year to help feed her family. She was finding it increasingly difficult to afford diapers and formula for her small children in addition to purchasing healthy and nutritious food, that’s when she decided to visit her neighbourhood food bank for the first time.

Initially, Mona had some misconceptions about who accesses food banks in our city. After overcoming her fear of being judged for asking for help, Mona mustered up the courage to visit her neighbourhood food bank for the first time.

“At the food bank, people are amazing. They never judge me, are always willing to help, and are very supportive,” she said.

By accessing the food bank, Mona has reduced her expenses and can ensure her children have everything they need to stay healthy.

You can help support neighbours like Mona this holiday season, by donating to our Holiday Food Drive, today.
