Happy New Year from Shawn McMurter

To the Friends and Supporters of The Mississauga Food Bank:

Happy New Year! I hope that your Holiday Season was one full of joy and celebration.

As Chair of the Board of Directors at The Mississauga Food Bank, I must say that I am excited as I look ahead to what 2018 has in store. Over the last number of years, TMFB has grown in size, programming, and ultimately in its capacity to provide healthy food for hungry neighbours in Mississauga.

The Board is confident that Meghan Nicholls will execute her role as Interim Executive Director of the food bank with continued commitment, passion and excellence in leadership. Meghan has been a part of the Food Bank family since 2009, serving as the Director of Marketing and Development. She brings a deep understanding of the organization’s mission and values to her new role.

Looking ahead to the coming year, there are certainly changes on the horizon. But one thing remains the same. The Mississauga Food Bank stays committed to effectively sourcing, managing and distributing healthy food to those in need as we work to realize our vision of A Mississauga Where No One Goes Hungry. A vision that Meghan shares deeply and works fiercely to achieve.

With your help and Meghan’s expert leadership, I can assure you that 2018 will be another year of finding innovative solutions to the challenges facing our neighbours who struggle with food insecurity and hunger.

Thank you for your commitment to fighting hunger in Mississauga. It takes all of us to feed our hungry neighbours.
