Meet Barkat Mahal, Summer Marketing Assistant
Today we are shining the spotlight on Barkat Mahal, our Summer Marketing Assistant who joined our team last month! 💚
Barkat grew up volunteering with different organizations and believes that The Mississauga Food Bank is the place for her as she could continue working in an organization where she feels like she’s making a difference.
“Ever since I was young, my mother had instilled the importance of giving back to the community in me. By working at The Mississauga Food Bank, I’m able to work in my field while doing something that I am truly passionate about.”
During her summer with The Mississauga Food Bank, she hopes to apply innovative social media strategies to increase awareness on issues relating to food insecurity, and help share our message with the community.
