Meet Kyle, Food Bank 2 Home Driver
Today we are shining the spotlight on Kyle, one of our Food Bank 2 Home Volunteer Drivers! 🚘🚘
Kyle started volunteering at The Mississauga Food Bank in March 2020. As soon as the pandemic hit, he felt a strong desire to help his community. “Nothing felt like more of a fundamental need than food security, and I couldn’t think of a better way to show love and care for my community than to be a part of an organization that brings them healthy food.”
Kyle is astounded by the wonderful team he gets to volunteer with at The Mississauga Food Bank. From the volunteers to the staff, he shares, “it’s an incredible team to be a part of, and I am grateful to have these people in my life. I try to include my children from time to time to help me with deliveries, and it’s really important for me to demonstrate to them how life can be so much richer when you are in service to others.”
It fills his heart to interact with The Mississauga Food Bank’s clients even for a moment. “One regular client sends her 3 kids out to help bring in the packages and I love joking around with them and trying to make them laugh, they fill my cup every time.”
