Meet Scott Wedel, Reclaim Fresh Volunteer
Today we are shining the spotlight on Scott Wedel, one of our ReclaimFresh Volunteers! 🍊🍅
Scott started volunteering at The Mississauga Food Bank in April. He was new in Mississauga and was looking for places where he could help feed his hungry neighbours. “I was looking online for food banks or soup kitchens and The Mississauga Food Bank was always at the top in my searches so I thought this would be a great opportunity for me to learn more about food insecurity in my community and make a difference.”
Scott wanted to spend his free time helping others and having a positive impact within his community. “COVID-19 gave me an opportunity to reflect and do something valuable with my free time. It helped me to get out and do good for others. You can give as much or as little time as you have and it all does good.”
