Meet Tugba Tasdemir, Community Events Assistant Volunteer

This week, we are shining the spotlight on Tugba, our Community Events Assistant Volunteer! 🙌

Tugba Tasdemir is a third-year UTM student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Sciences, and started volunteering at The Mississauga Food Bank last spring. She supported our Development team during our Spring Food Drive by helping to prepare grocery store kits and the Scotts Canada giveaway kits for our Spring Contactless Drive-Thru Food Drive!

What Tugba enjoys the most about volunteering at The Mississauga Food Bank is the warm and welcoming environment. “Everyone I have encountered at the food bank is friendly and approachable.”

And one thing she found surprising was the fresh fish in our AquaGrow Farms. 🐟 She was surprised to learn how much fresh and frozen food the food bank distributes to our hungry neighbours across Mississauga.

Thank you Tugba for all your hard work and dedication! 💚
