Meet Wendy, The Mississauga Food Bank’s Donor Relations and Database Administrator:
“If you call our office and press 2 for donations, you reach me. I’ve been at TMFB for about 2 years, starting as the Development Database Coordinator and now as the Donor Relations and Database Administrator. I get the privilege of speaking with donors who wish to make a donation, and sometimes I even get to hear their stories!
Last Thanksgiving, we had a donor call in who wanted to donate. She started off by saying, “it’s not much, but I’d like to donate it.” She then shared how she used to use the food bank many years ago when she needed help. Now that she’s back on her feet, she wanted to donate to the organization that helped her in her time of need. In those moments, I’m so thankful to be part of an organization that impacts the community in a positive way.
I enjoy working with a team that shares the same vision– A Mississauga where no one goes hungry– and hearing how much our donors believe in the vision. It makes waking up and going to work so easy!”
