The Mississauga Food Bank has joined a national grassroots effort to fight hunger in the spirit of Ramadan.
Give 30 was founded in 2012 to focus on hunger in Canada and motivate people of all backgrounds to give to food banks during the month of Ramadan through GIVE30.ca.
“Anyone can get involved with Give 30 to fight hunger in our community,” says Chris Hatch, executive director of The Mississauga Food Bank. “We’re very excited to be a part of this incredible movement for the first time this year.”
“Ramadan is about giving, building community, and understanding the challenges of hunger,” says Ziyaad Mia, founder of Give 30. “That is why it works well motivating people to give. Hunger touches all types of people and that’s why it’s important for everyone to join Give 30.”
Please make a Give 30 donation to The Mississauga Food Bank and help us spread the word!
