CBC Community Cares Campaign

Join CBC Toronto for Community Cares, a day of special programming with music, stories, and coming together in support of food banks across the GTA.
On June 24, CBC Toronto will celebrate the resilience of a city and the people who are helping to bring us together, support our neighbours and feed our communities. We will also share stories of how we are changing, and who is helping us move forward.
For more information about CBC Community Cares visit cbc.ca/communitycares.

Your support is needed more than ever!

The Mississauga Food Bank is the central food bank in Mississauga, providing food for over 242,000 meals each month through a network of 44 agencies.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Mississauga Food Bank has seen a jump in client usage of food banks across the region of between 10-20%. Over the last couple of months we have served thousands of first time food bank users and our Food Bank 2 Home delivery program has served ten times the amount of families compared to before the pandemic hit.

The reality is, we need the support from the community more than ever before to ensure our neighbours don’t go hungry.
