About the role
Food Banks Mississauga will be conducting its Annual Client Survey during June and July 2024. This survey is important for both programming and advocacy efforts to realize a food-secure Mississauga.
We are looking for volunteers to administer a structured survey with clients accessing food banks in our network in Mississauga. You will gain experience and insight into poverty and hunger issues in Mississauga, participate in important research and strengthen your interviewing skills.
Responsibilities
Attend training for proper data collection.
Collect data from clients through telephone interviews using a structured questionnaire.
Use your own phone/laptop/tablet to complete surveys (you will be given access to an e-calling platform).
Visit select agencies within Food Banks Mississauga’s network to conduct in-person client interviews.
(You can choose phone or in-person, or a mix of both.)
On-site survey schedules will be arranged by Food Banks Mississauga but you are responsible for your own travel/transportation (reimbursements will not be provided).
Regularly report back to your key contact person at Food Banks Mississauga on progress made with the surveys.
Upon completion of volunteering, a letter/certificate highlighting your contributions to this project may be provided upon request.
