Clients are assigned to a food bank based on their postal code. There is a neighbourhood food bank to serve every Mississauga resident. These neighbourhood food banks provide every person with 7-10 days’ worth of food once each month.
We also provide food to other programs to ensure there is healthy food available to anyone who is hungry in Mississauga. These programs include: breakfast clubs, soup kitchens, snack programs, shelters, after-school programs, seniors programs, new immigrant centres, food pantries and cupboards.
We help our hungry neighbours by sourcing, managing and distributing food to our network of member agencies. By working together, we make sure that there is food available for the hungry in every corner of Mississauga!
So when you give to The Mississauga Food Bank, you’re making sure every neighbour in the city has food to eat. For every $1 you give, we can provide 2 meals to hungry neighbours.
