For the past 10 years, The Mississauga Food Bank has received generous support from the Nissan Canada Foundation. Nissan’s support of the Food Bank has been far-reaching, including:
- The annual summer Food For Thought Food Drive rallies together Nissan Canada employees from the head office and local dealerships – Direct Nissan and Woodchester Nissan – to raise food and funds at the time of year when donations are typically at their slowest. The Food For Thought Food Drive also aims to raise awareness about hunger in Mississauga and our work to eliminate it.
- Energetic Nissan volunteers can regularly be seen in our warehouse sorting and preparing food for distribution.
As our “Champion Sponsor” for 2016 and 2017, the Nissan Canada Foundation will continue providing volunteer support and sponsor several food drives, including the city-wide Holiday Food and Fundraising Drive in December where the Nissan Canada Foundation will be the leading sponsor. Watch out for the Nissan Canada Foundation’s logo on our truck as it delivers food across Mississauga!
About The Nissan Canada Foundation
Created in 1993 the Foundation aims to deliver on Nissan’s corporate vision of enriching people’s lives, by improving the quality of life in the communities in which Nissan operates.
