Anna – Maria – Spotlight Sunday

Meet Anna-Maria, a Food Sorting Leader at The Mississauga Food Bank:

“I started volunteering 4 years ago sorting food, and now I’m a food sort leader!

As a food sort leader, I love being able to talk to groups about what TMFB stands for and encourage the group to help out. After the group has volunteered, I always hear them talking about what a great experience they’ve had. When I hear this, I know I’ve made an impact on helping our community.

I want to give back and help others; it is a sense of fulfillment to me knowing I am making a difference in our community.

I love meeting new volunteers and talking to groups about TMFB. I want to get the message across that our community needs help not only by volunteering, but by donating food too.

Every time I volunteer, I get a great sense of accomplishment knowing I am helping others in need.”

Thanks Anna-Maria, for everything you do here at TMFB! #SpotlightSunday
