Meet Bilal, Emergency Food Bank Volunteer

When his school closed due to COVID-19, Bilal chose to volunteer his time to help those in need. He packs emergency food hampers at the warehouse. Bilal is a shining example of selflessness and compassion. Thank you, Bilal!

“I read about how food banks around Canada were struggling to meet the increasing demand during the COVID-19 pandemic. I decided to volunteer to help hungry citizens around Mississauga who have been impacted by this crisis and to show my support for those who are facing tough circumstances. There are many ways you can make a positive impact in the lives of people in your community. You could write letters to seniors to keep them from being isolated, make a video supporting frontline workers, or come and help us at The Mississauga Food Bank!”

Hi there, that’s really awesome to make sure of your time to volunteer and help those in need during this time. I also want to volunteer to help those. If you could let me know if there’s an opportunity for me, it would be great.
